VOLUNTEER TO TEACH ESL
Our ESL program is completely run by volunteers under the leadership of Jennifer Dolan Waldman and Joan Gottesman who bring their educational expertise to train and equip the volunteer teachers with the necessary skills and tools to teach english at our center. We have different schedules and locations for our classes:
Day time ESL at the Worker Center. We provide daily classes in the morning focusing on employment related language to equip men and women seeking jobs with useful language skills.
Evening ESL is based at the Mamaroneck Avenue School twice a week. We provide simultaneous children's enrichment programs for the students' elementary age children at this location.
If you wish to volunteer contact our volunteer coordinator Gail Vidales at gailv@hrclm.org or call our office at (914) 835 1512 to schedule and appointment.

YOUTH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
SUMMER PROGRAM
We provide opportunities for High School and College Students to find meaningful ways of becoming involved in the community. Students tipically volunteer one or two days a week helping our staff design flyers to promote our programs, work on specific surveys in the community to collect data, teach ESL or babysit to allow women to participate in educational activities.
SPECIAL EVENTS
There are also opportunities for youth to become involved in organizing special events to fundraise for the center through their school or college networks or help our team in the planning, preparation and promotion of special events in the community or our annual gala.
Gail Vidales our Office Administrator manages volunteer recruiting and scheduling. She can be reached at gailv@hrclm.org or call the office at 914 835 1512
